The attacker calls him "brother" and invites him to join something called the "Heartbreed"—hinting that Dante's bloodline ties him to a larger demonic conspiracy. Meanwhile, Mary and her team locate the prison where White Rabbit is holding not demons, but refugees—innocents caught in a cross-dimensional war. Confronted with this truth, Mary begins to question the entire demon-hunting doctrine she was raised to uphold. Back at Darkcom HQ, Vice President Baines reveals his full agenda: to use Dante's blood and the twin amulets to fully awaken Sparda's sword and open the gates to the demon realm. With one amulet already in his hands, he prepares to unleash hell on Earth, issuing Dante an ultimatum—surrender within 30 minutes or witness a city's destruction. As alliances shift and the truth about the "enemy" grows more complicated, Dante, Mary, and the surviving refugees brace themselves for the looming apocalypse. Dante's dormant demonic powers begin to awaken, signaling the start of a much greater transformation.
